Hello to all MCB-133's.
My grandfather served three tours in Vietnam. I am trying to find out information on all of them. He died over a year ago and never talked about his experiences. I only have information on his last tour with MCB-133. He had a plaque in his office that read MCB 133-08. The dates at the bottom are 71-72 and either says Kien Hoa or Bien Hoa. I assume it is Bien Hoa. There are 13 names listed on the plaque. They are:
(1) Donald E. Healy
(2) Leonard D. Hemphill
(3) William Spires (my grandfather)
(4) Glenn A. Golden
(5) Charles R Webb
(6) Thomas A. Gilmore
(7) Richard C. Faust
(8) Wilber L. Trahan
(9) Michael J. Albanese
(10) David S. Markos
(11) George T. Benhart
(12) Thomas W. Williams
(13) James A. Gauker
I can only assume this was a STAT team.
My gradfather was a SW Chief E-7.
I would appreciate any information that could help.
I am researching the rest but the going is tough. My grandmother is trying to get many of the records I need to me ASAP.
Again any help would be appreciated and if you know any of these guys I would love to talk with them.
Best Regards,
Charlie Swanson

Now that this works I just wanted to say that a number of us had a great time in VA at the 133 reunion schedule with the TET 68 affair. We are looking forward and planning to be down in Gulfport for the 40th reunion of recommissioning. I don't know if I will get back to TET but I will be at Gulfport. To Froggy, Makin ( computer illeterate) O'Kelley, Red and JC stay health and well. To Happy Allen we all wish you a speedy recovery. To the rest of the guys in Delta Company we hope you can make it to Gulfport.
To all members of 133 past present and future Kangroo Can Do.
Stay safe and keep up the good work. There is none better even if they think they are.
